In a diner, Lust, Gluttony, and Envy discuss the events surrounding Greed's demise. They also discuss the future of Wrath who is under the care of Sloth. Lust, however, seems preoccupied wondering where they have come from and where they are headed.
Suddenly, there is a car crash outside. A critically injured passenger is healed in a glow of red light by a passing doctor. Standing up, the doctor, Lujon, sees Lust.
Ed, Al, and Winry head south hoping to eventually reach an Ishbal camp. With no other leads, Ed hopes that the people of Ishbal will be able to give him some information regarding the Philosopher's Stone.
Out of the woods, Ed hears the screams of a woman and dashes off to save her. Ed easily takes care of them. Afterward, the girl introduces herself as Lydia. She has left her village in search of a man named Lujon...
Reunited after two years, Lujon asks the reason for Lust's disappearance. He asks her to supply him with a new stone that will save his village once again.
At that time, Lust and Gluttony were passing through a village ravaged by Fossil Disease. It is here that Lujon and Lust meet for the first time. She is the one who teaches him the alchemy he needs to cure Fossil Disease. Oddly, Lust experiences flashbacks of her past while with Lujon. Finally, Lujon is able to treat the disease he vowed to cure.
In a carriage back to the village, Lust tells Lujon that he must not seek the answer to everything, for it will destroy him in the end. Returning to his village, Lujon is able to save his people once again. However, he is killed by Lust who finds him no longer useful in obtaining the Philosopher's Stone.
Also arriving in the village is Lydia along with Ed, Al, and Winry. Everyone is the village has died of the Fossil Disease right after Lujon's death. The power of the Philosopher's Stone no longer kept the people safe. In the end, Lydia is able to die along side her beloved Lujon.
