In a massive graveyard, Scar tells Ed that the position and conditions surrounding the people of Lior are very similar to the Ishbalites. For the sake of those oppressed, Scar vows to create the Philosopher's Stone.
Back at regional headquarters, the military investigates the events surrounding Martel's death and her connection to the 5th Laboratory. In the midst of accusations of hiding information on the part of Armstrong and Archer, Al reveals that it was he who was harboring Martel.
Thinking back, Al ponders Martel's final moments. She tells him that Lior will be the next Ishbal. More importantly, Martel tells Al that the Fuhrer is a homunculus.
Back in the city of Lior, Scar reveals his plan for the military that has wronged them. Ed finds out from Lyra and sends a messenger to Mustang telling him stay out of Lior. Mustang tells Ed to rendevous with his brother in Lior.
Meanwhile in Lior, Kimbley and a band of chimeras are wreaking havoc in the city attempting to lure out the citizens. Scar heads out to meet him, but he entrusts Ed with the duty of aiding the citizens escape.
Although the Fuhrer, Pride, has delayed the attack on Lior at the request of their master, Lust is impatient and heads to the city.
Still wreaking havoc in the city, Kimbley is met by Scar who also disposes of the chimeras easily.
Escaping from the city, Ed faces Sloth and Wrath.
Duking it out in Lior, Scar and Kimbley battle to the brink of death. Back in the escape tunnel, Ed comes face to face with his own "mistake". In an attempt to save Ed, Rose returns only to be lunged at by Wrath.
