Light Hohenheim confronts Dante, who has taken over Lyra's body. They are two individuals who have escaped the clutches of death for over 400 years thanks to the power of the Philosopher's Stone they had created.
Shocked by Dante's revelation that she transfered Hohenheim's soul from body to body, Lust questions Dante's motives. Dante replies that she needed to stone to keep herself alive.
Back in Resembul, Winry and Scieska clash over cooking ideology. The two are interrupted by a phone call from Shou Tucker, who wishes to meet with Al. Ed returns, but Al does not tell him about Tucker.
In Central City, a military tribunal has convened to discuss the fate of Ed. It is then that Mustang mentions the Fuhrer's secretary, seemingly provoking the Fuhrer and shocking the rest of the tribunal.
Returning to Havoc's hospital room, Mustang reveals to his subordinates that the civil war in Ishbal may have been caused by the Homunculus wanting to create the Philosopher's Stone.
Meanwhile, Ed and Al prepare to leave Resembul to find their father.
Reminiscing over old times, Hohenheim realizes what Ed and Al have done upon seeing Sloth. Caught off guard, he is bound by Sloth, and he is sent to the other side of the Gate by Dante.
Ed and Al are forced out of hiding on their way to Central and must make their escape. Hiding out, Ed heads out again to find the person controlling the Homunculus.
While Mustang and Armstrong plan their next move, Ed visits Izumi to obtain a piece of Wrath, and left behind, Al visits Tucker...
