Warning: This may shock and disgust you…

I've finally figured it out...The Truth about Pokemon. I'm scared, and, possibly, scarred for life. I wasn't sure who to tell this shocking discovery, so, I though, maybe, just maybe, I could post here.

I suppose I should start at the beginning...
I, too, was once a Pokemon addict. I was determined to "catch 'em all". And, I guess I did. But I got older, and Pokemon lost its appeal. But a little later, I started thinking... Why was it, that whenever you lost, you either blacked out or whited out, depending on the version, and you woke up in the "hospital" with less money than you had before? Why, when you won, did you have more money? I started to realize it wasn't the children's game it's made out to be. Why? Because to put it simply, the point of the game is to KO other people's pets and steal their money. Unless, of course, that was the point. What if they were really trying to teach poor innocent children that it's right to try to kill other people's pets, and steal their money [insert horrified gasp here]… Just imagine poor, innocent little children, having their little pets attack each other, and then stealing the "loser's" money. Imagine the little child's response when the mother demands to know "why?".

"But Mommy, that's what they do on Pokemon! I didn't know it was bad."

Feel free to notify me of my insanity now. That is what happens when I get bored. And please don't get all "Wow, you're way too serious" or "It's just a game" I know. I was- er, am bored...

Wouldn't you win money and then have to pay for the hospital?

I never played the game but I did watch the show. Strange, strange show.

I think that theory is just too out there to be considered valid. And, also, I don't see the point in posting this if you claim you weren't serious about it. huh.gif

But I thought the Pokémon Centre provides free services! ohmy.gif

I wouldn't know though. I've never blacked/whited out. *flashes self-made Pokémon Master badge*

Perhaps this should go into General Game.

Pokemon Centre services are free, me thinks.

The point of the pokemon gameboy games is to train your pokemon to become badass. My Pidgey would destroy a Charizard.

Even legendary Pokemon?!?!?! Damn, that's strong

...[gasp] Maybe... Maybe you have less money when you check again...Not because the other trainer took it, but because the hospital isn't really free, when they have to come and find you and heal your Pokemon and stuff...'THE HOSPITAL STEALS PEOPLE'S stolen MONEY!!!

Basically, when I was little, I never knew and thought about WHERE the money came from. Just thought you recieve money from a Pokémon Battle Government or something. And for the killing of pets, I once shouted, "YEAH! I KILLED THAT POKÉMON!!" And my bro was like, "You idiot! You don't kill pokémon, when the HP runs out, it just faints them." "Seriously? Aw man... all that battle for nothing..."
